About
Stellary.com – Stellary Starry Universe is a site for anyone interested in astronomy without the details and non rigorous explanations. I happen to like astronomy very much but unfortunately never pursued my like of the subject. For a long while I wanted to be an astrophysicist, but that never happened. Instead I got wrapped up in electronics for many years. First as an avid amateur radio operator (ham) then, some ten years later as an electronic technician. After a stint of doing that for several years I became a computer operator. A few years later I became a computer programmer and remained one for dozens of years.
All the time I was still fascinated with astronomy. I never really did much about it except read books, collect a few NASA images and almost unbelievably, managed to take a great class on astrophysics at UCLA, specifically on black holes, back in the mid 70s. That was one of the best classes I ever had in college and believe me, I took a lot of interesting classes during many years as a college junkie.
So this site delves lightly on the objects in the sky, especially Black holes as they are one of my favorites. I am not trying to make this a scientific site, but one that’s easy to understand and showcases videos and articles on astronomy, astrophysics, and related topics.
Please feel free to add your comments. If you would like to contribute to the site I would love to have complementary and related content from the site’s readers. Please use the Contact Form to contact me about that or any other matter.
Lastly, I am the only one running the site so I cannot update it as fast as I would like to because I have dozens of other sites at the present time. I am hoping to find partners for some of my sites to lighten the load and time constraints. I would like to ultimately spend most of my time adding lots of interesting information to the site as well as keep up to date with the latest happenings in the field of astronomy and related physics.
